SP Estes’ art draws on a background in chemistry, technology and music. Using a wide variety of media and materials–organic and inorganic materials with made and re-purposed materials– Estes collaborates with nature and with the nature of materials. Many of the works include embedded remnants of nature and technology.

Estes’ art began with ceramics in Chicago at Lill Street Studios and the Hyde Park Art Center. Since 2010 she has been painting and making multi/mixed media pieces.
